Position Overview

The Shift Incharge will manage and supervise our Poicha plant’s operations during their assigned shift. This includes ensuring compliance with safety protocols, overseeing production processes, managing shift personnel, and maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of plant operators and technicians during the shift.
• Ensure that all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
• Conduct shift meetings and communicate shift objectives.
• Monitor production processes to ensure they meet quality and efficiency standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that arise during the shift.
• Adjust process parameters as needed to maintain optimal production levels.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure all staff adhere to safety regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
• Report and investigate any safety incidents or near-misses.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
• Implement quality control measures and perform regular quality checks.
• Address any quality issues promptly to minimize production disruptions.
• Maintain accurate records of production data, shift activities, and any incidents.
• Prepare and submit shift reports to senior management.
• Ensure proper documentation of maintenance and operational procedures.
• Train and mentor shift personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback.
• Manage shift schedules and handle any staffing issues.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in chemical manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a chemical plant or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficient in safety regulations and quality control standards.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
